WE ARE AT A PRECIPICE
Our country and everything it is to be an American is being dismantled from the inside. The Constitution. Our human rights. Our system of laws created by the Framers. America’s being gutted and looted by President Trump while he lies to our faces and tells us he’s saving it.
This isn’t hyperbole. It’s a sober assessment of the dangers we currently face, and it’s dishonest to pretend otherwise.
My name is Travis Zollner, and I am running for the 2026 U.S. Senate Democratic Party Nomination not because this is my career or because I am seeking a promotion. I’ve always been passionate about public service, but have never been a politician. I am running because our future, state, and country are on the line and we cannot rely on the people that let us get to this moment to be the ones to save us from it.
ABOUT TRAVIS
I am a husband, father, gamer, and attorney. I am also a passionate patriot, progressive, and Democrat. Born to a Detroit public school teacher and career automotive engineer, I was raised in Macomb county where my sister and I attended Utica Community Schools. I graduated from the University of Michigan for both undergrad and law school.
I worked out of state for a few years following law school then moved home to marry the love of my life, Megan, and work on Senator Peters's first Senate campaign. I have since went back into law and worked as an in-house attorney for various automotive retailers and suppliers.
Megan and I have been blessed with three wonderful, rambunctious children that we are raising at our home in Oakland Township.
Political campaigns are almost always centered only around a handful of issues and then questioning the candidates about their positions on those few issues. Though some voters decide based on a candidate’s answers on only one or two issues, for the rest of us, those are the wrong questions.
PRINCIPLES & VALUES
POLICY ISSUES
Campaign issues, frustratingly, are too often used to distract and divide instead of to drive conversations that move everyone forward. This is not an accident.
Significant majorities of Americans support a wide array of public policies including dynamic education investments as well as rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure.
Those policies, though, would require those at the top to pay their share, like we do. So those pulling the media levers ensure we are constantly fed stories instead about the topics that keep the rest of us divided.
Our roads and bridges continue to crumble. Trade schools and educational access for those with disabilities stay unfunded.
But the wealthy keep their money.
VOLUNTEER
Campaigns sending volunteers out just to pass out pamphlets with the candidate’s face feels like it’s only meant to stroke the candidate’s ego.
I’m running because I want to help Michigan. So, in addition to some of the more traditional campaign activities, volunteering with my campaign will also be heavily focused on actually serving Michigan’s communities. On Volunteer Action Days, we will pitch in to help neighborhoods and communities across Michigan long before any ballots are cast.
DONATE TO THE CAMPAIGN
Washington politicians do it wrong. They need to stop treating voters like no-limit credit cards. Politicians believe the goal of campaigns is to be the candidate that spends the most money. Instead, we should look for the candidate that spends their contributors’ money the smartest.
As Senator, I will thoughtfully spend every single dollar I have the privilege of directing for the public good. That won’t just start when I get to Washington. It starts with my campaign. I will not waste your money on consultants that tell Democrats how to lose or on expensive fundraisers with the people that have helped lead us to where we are today. My primary monetary goal, on the trail and in Washington, will be to make sure every dollar I spend counts.
